48 GT Overview

Highlights

Completely new interior boasting modern amenities alongside Morris’ classic styling cues. Raised salon area with panoramic views and a side berth lounge. Larger rig for greater sailing performance. Self-tacking jib and leisure-furl mainsail for easier sail handling. Full-service galley featuring a unique cross-beam utility station. Generous en-suite owners cabin with a superyacht inspired circular shower. An in-mold swim platform featuring a new passerelle transom door for easy cockpit access to the waters below. The design also allows for seamless Mediterranean stern-to berthing while cruising.

Incredible Raised Salon Area

Experience your surroundings like never before… even below deck because the newly designed raised salon area provides an entirely new perspective with stunning panoramic views. Owners will also appreciate the increased daylight and space. And an added bonus, raising the salon resulted in increased tank capacities as well. Contemporary and adaptable, her interior is conducive to socializing… without sacrificing offshore performance.

New Larger Rig

Due to her successful performance record, the 48GT retained her existing hull form. To further enhance her capabilities, a new, larger rig was designed to include a self-tacking jib and leisure-furl mainsail. As always, ease of handling results in enjoyable sailing experience for all aboard.

Full-Service Galley

The full-service galley boasts a unique cross-beam utility station with modern amenities, and unique storage solutions maximize space as well as storage capacity. Whether you’re enjoying a coastal cruise with family and friends or embarking on a serious ocean passage, preparing fresh, delicious meals while under sail is always a snap.

Cabin Design

When it comes to comfort, the Morris Design Team collaborated to ensure no detail was overlooked. The generous en-suite owners cabin is a welcome retreat at the end of the day, and unique features (such as the super-yacht inspired circular shower) radiate luxury.

Training that’s as personalized as our boats

ownerEach handcrafted Morris comes with a personalized training course that is tailor made for you to help you use your new boat. The training happens right onboard in a location you choose and is taught by our most experienced professionals.

The purpose of the program is to give you hands-on experience and insight into key areas of your Morris lifestyle. From sailing, docking and anchoring to systems and maintenance, we’ll teach you practical, hands on techniques that will make your ownership experience more rewarding and more fun.

Course offerings are tailored to the personal needs of our owners and can cover a variety of topics from sailing fundamentals to advanced sailing; coastal cruising skills to offshore passagemaking; racing basics to advanced racing strategies. Maintenance and service are also covered in our training program.

“Every Morris owner wants to know more about their boat and more about how they can use it. What better way to learn than being taught on your own boat by the people who built it.” said Cuyler Morris. “We believe this program is just another example of the commitment we place behind our owners and we are proud to offer it exclusively to every owner of a Morris Yacht.”
