04/23/12 – April has seen a very busy time in Production, with the launch of Blue Moon V and Independent II. Both boats are heading over to Europe. M36 Blue Moon will be off to the south of France, and the M42 Independent II is heading to Holland for a couple of years then to the south of France as well! Launching and rigging went off without any problems and both boats were soon sailing around the bay and looking great and getting comments from onlookers!

Independent II’s owner, Paul, has come over to sail his new boat from Northeast Harbor down to Newport with me, from where it will be picked up and carefully placed on a ship with the rig still in it and will sail the long transatlantic route to Amsterdam. Paul is over the moon with his boat and can’t wait to sail it in Holland and show it off to everyone! Well done to everyone involved in the build, paint and commissioning of this boat; you all did a great job!
