When the new owners of “Menemsha” (Hull #1 of our Ocean 46 Heritage model) purchased her this summer, they had an extensive refit plan in mind in order to transform her into their own pride and joy. With the owner’s unusual expectations (he ran boatyards in the southern USA and Bahamas for 20 years!) and a deadline to be in the Florida Keys for Thanksgiving, we were honored that Morris was selected by the owner as the yard of choice to do the work!

So, after 13 years since her making, “Menemsha” arrived back ‘home’ to the hands of the people that created her! And we couldn’t be happier.

Below is a slideshow showing the beginning stages of her refit. She is having a complete overhaul of her mechanical systems with a new generator, water maker, air conditioning unit etc., as well as interior carpentry work which includes a new navigation station complete with the latest and greatest in electronics! She will also be treated to a Morris varnish job both outside and in! What a treat for any boat!
